NYCHF is a gathering of Christians in the healthcare field dedicated to being salt and light in their workplace. This meeting we will have Reverend Stephen Ko, MD, MDiv, MPH, MA, a pediatrician, epidemiologist, public health expert, and senior pastor of New York Chinese Alliance Church, who will speak about how the Christian worldview should inform our approaches to clinical medicine and public and global health. Dr. Ko received his MD from Augusta University, his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and his MPH from Columbia School of Public Health and has served as an assistant professor of Global Health at Boston University and an adjunct professor at Alliance Theological Seminary. He has written several books about the role of Christians in the mission of health. We will also hear from Douglas Christgau, who serves as global ambassador of MedSend, an organization that pays off educational loans for healthcare professionals who want to serve God in long-term missions in the US and around the world. They will talk about their experiences with missions and opportunities for healthcare workers globally and locally in missions and evangelism.

All Christians (or even people of other religions or none at all!) in healthcare are invited (medical/dental students, residents, fellows, attendings, NPs, RNs, PAs, PTs, OTs, and others).

This event is sponsored by the Greater New York City Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA).
